June Has Always Been Good to Us

June Has Always Been Good to Us

"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things." - Charles Dickens, author

I have always had a soft spot for the month of June. Maybe it's because school used to let out for summer vacation and days filled with fun. Maybe it's because the Arizona heat tricks you into believing every day is an adventure waiting to happen (even if the adventure is just watching TV in the air conditioning). Or maybe it's because some of the most meaningful moments of my content creation journey seem to happen during this month.

Last June changed my life, and this June reminded me why.

In June of 2025, the CCCommunity accomplished something that felt impossible at the time: We were among the first TikTok creators accepted into both the Jackbox Ambassador Program and the Jackbox Stream Team. When most people hear that story, they probably picture a polished creator with a professional streaming setup, fancy cameras, and years of experience. That wasn't us; not even close.

When Bailey and I first started going LIVE in September of 2023, our setup consisted of a cell phone attached to a small Amazon tripod that sat on top of a stack of board games in our bedroom. We were living with roommates at the time and didn't have much space, so we made the most of what we had. That became the theme of our journey. We made the most of what we had at the time: Just two people with a dream and a community willing to take a chance on us.

When we introduced Jackbox Games to the channel in April of 2024, we were still using that same setup. We weren't playing from a gaming PC. We weren't broadcasting from a custom-built office. We were simply doing our best to create a fun place where people could laugh, connect, and spend time together after a long day.

Somewhere along the way, something special happened. People started showing up; then, they kept showing up. The CCCommunity slowly became more than just a group of people watching a livestream. It became a gathering place. A place where people could come as they were, laugh at a ridiculous Quiplash answer, participate in a game of Fibbage, or simply exist among people who wanted them there.

In August of 2024, Bailey and I moved into our first apartment with a dedicated office space. Moving didn't immediately transform us into professional streamers. We still used the same tripod and my phone. The room was different, but the dream remained the same. What had changed was that we finally had the opportunity to start building toward something bigger.

So that's exactly what we did. We saved. We planned. We hosted longer streams. We held 24-hour stream-a-thons. We slowly collected pieces of the setup we had always wanted. A desk. Monitors. A webcam. A microphone. Eventually, the parts needed to build our first streaming PC. And every step of the way, people cheered us on, and that's the part of this story that I never want to forget.

The equipment and the office helped, but the reason any of it was possible was because people believed in us. Most importantly, they believed in what we were building together.

Around that same time, the CCCommunity had another goal: We wanted Jackbox Games to notice us. And if you've been around for a while, you probably remember exactly how determined we were.

We commented on posts. We used hashtags. We made videos. We shared clips. We did everything we could to put ourselves on Jackbox's radar. Not because we wanted fame, but because we genuinely loved the games and the community that formed around them.

In June of 2025, we received the news that we had been accepted into both the Jackbox Ambassador Program and the Jackbox Stream Team. The craziest part? We received that news only a couple of weeks before our streaming setup was finally completed. We weren't selected because we had the nicest equipment or the biggest production value; we were selected because of the community, consistency, and passion. People believed in what we were creating.

June of 2025 was filled with celebrations. Then, June of 2026 arrived. And somehow, this particular June feels even more meaningful. For the first time in several months, Bailey and I are spending our first month together again. After everything we navigated earlier this year, that alone feels like a gift.

But June also brought something neither of us could have imagined when we were balancing a phone on a pile of board games back in 2023. Our first solo CCCommunity meetup was approved. On August 14, 2026, members of the CCCommunity will join us in Chicago for the CCC x Jackbox Meetup. Not only will we get to spend time together in person, but we will also have the opportunity to tour the Jackbox headquarters itself.

Think about that for a second: The games that helped build our community. The games that helped create friendships, inside jokes, memories, and countless nights of laughter.

We're going to get to see where they were created, and we're going to experience it alongside the very people who helped make this journey possible. That is something I will never take for granted, and I owe that to everyone who has been part of my journey.

As I sit here reflecting on June, I also want to take a moment to thank Bailey. There is no version of this story that exists without him. Through every challenge, every long stream, every goal, every setback, and every victory, he has been there. Sometimes behind the scenes, sometimes in front of the camera, sometimes carrying far more than his share of the workload, but always there. This dream became our dream, and I am grateful every day that we continue building it together.

So as June begins to come to a close, I find myself feeling incredibly thankful. I am thankful for Jackbox Games and the opportunities they have given us, as well as our CCCommunity, and every chapter that led us here. If the last few years have taught me anything, it's this: Great things happen when people believe in each other.

And now, as we prepare for the CCC x Jackbox Meetup in Chicago, I can't help but feel excited for what comes next. June has always been good to us. And somehow, I have a feeling we're just getting started.

Want to join us for a game? We're LIVE on TikTok Monday through Saturday at 6:00 PM Pacific / 9:00 PM Eastern.
