Visited my grandparents' birthplaces in Poland from the US a few years ago and the craving for surowki came to me tonight. Thank you for the recipes. Even your descriptions of the vegetables are delicious (and remind me of someone saying to me, "No offense, but in USA your vegetables taste like cardboard" -- it's true!)
Thank you so much for re-introducing me to the taste of my childhood (it's so much better made at home than bought pre made - though I have a Polish deli not far away).
My dear babcia may be long lost to me now, but these wonderful rib filling flavours are a joy to discover again.
