Considus builds small, careful software. Tools that do one job properly, explain what they're doing, and don't quietly take more than they need.

Right now that's two things. Proton Bridge MCP gives an AI assistant read, organise and carefully-gated send access to your Proton Mail without your mail leaving your machine. And Catchlight, which is still being built.

All of it is free. The MCP server is open source under Apache-2.0 and always will be. Nobody is charged, nothing is upsold, there's no paid tier waiting behind a feature you need.

The cost is time. Reading the IMAP spec closely enough to know when a message ID has gone stale, working out what an assistant should never be able to talk itself into doing, and writing the documentation properly rather than assuming you'll figure it out. That work doesn't have a revenue model, and it isn't meant to.

If something here saved you an afternoon, a coffee is a fair trade. If it didn't, that's fine too. Opening an issue, when something breaks, is worth more than the coffee to me.
