Steve Bonilla is a barista and a coffee producer from Costa Rica. Steve is working with his Father and Brother on a family coffee plantation in Santa Maria, Tarrazu region.
I visited the farm two years ago and met Steve´s Brother and Father. They showed me their coffee plants and how they take care not only of the plants but also the entire environment. They were making many changes to make the farm more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Later, I met Steve in the capital city. We had a bar together and talked about how they started to produce speciality coffee and how they decided to shift from conventional coffee production. You can listen to that story too and watch a shorter interview with Steve.
