There seems to be a lot of backlash about this film. Criticisms about the music element etc but IT IS AN AMAZING FILM! I can only suggest those who don’t like it to see it again with an open mind and a willingness to understand the representation of psychosis. Or maybe it makes more sense to those who ever saw Dennis Potter’s The Singing Detective tv series.
This film will stand the test of time while many other comic based movies will be consigned to the ‘fun at the time’ bin.
Catch it at the Chipping Norton Cinema while you can.
