These days, with over 4 million books being published each year, writers have a lot to do to keep up. Writing the book is almost the easiest part. After that, we have to find someone to publish it. We have to ask people to "blurb" it (recommend it). We have to set up social media platforms and monetize our content. We have to market, promote and sell our book to people and stores and libraries. And now AI is flooding the market with artificially written books with which we have to compete.
And now I have to ask people to buy me a cup of coffee? I'd rather serve coffee (or...let's be honest...wine) to my readers! But, complaining aside, the fun part is writing and all that other stuff is not so much. Especially AI--I recently saw this post:
