Dear Civics of Tech Community,

We have launched this page to create a way for our community members to support our organization and help us expand the work that we do.

Civics of Technology is a grassroots organization. We aren't beholden to the interests of specific donors or funders. It's a labor of love.

At the same time, like any organization, we have some modest recurring expenses (keeping the website up and running, about $350 per year). And there are things that we would love to do if we had access to some additional financial resources.

And so, if you are able, we would very much appreciate your support. We aren't selling access to any "premium content" or perks, because we committed to keeping all of the things that we do and publish free to all. Your financial support will help us make sure that we can continue to do that.

Here are the specific things that your funding would support:

-Maintaining our website.

-Providing stipends to our conference keynote speakers.

-If we can bring in sufficient funds, we would love to hire a student worker who could help publicize our community, share our events, and expand our reach.

We commit to always be transparent about how donations are spent. At least once per year, we will give a budget report of all contributions we received and where that money was used.
