Hi, and thank you for being here. My name is Sammie, and I am a proud mother, we also have a cat named Jenny, I study from home, university, to become a medical professional in the future. I have such a passion for helping others and also in a hope I can make a difference in healthcare. Other than that, I am someone living with multiple complex chronic illnesses, including gastroparesis, gastroptosis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and more. Right now, I rely on an NJ (nasojejunal) feeding tube to survive, because my digestive system can’t process food or fluids the way it should. Eating and drinking is no longer something I can do safely or comfortably, so the tube is my lifeline. I can have very small amounts of liquids or a few bites of food sometimes but I still end up in the same predicament, but I won’t give up hope that one day I will tolerate it. I love food and drink so much 💖. Soon, I’ll be undergoing surgery for a more permanent GJ (gastrojejunostomy) tube, which is both a necessary and daunting step in my medical journey. Hospital stays, appointments, and the constant physical toll of my conditions can be incredibly isolating and exhausting. And sometimes, even just getting through the day feels like an achievement. I’ve created this Buy Me a Coffee page as a way for people to support me in small but meaningful ways. Whether it’s putting a little toward a coffee or a small treat on a hard medical day, or helping me buy simple arts and crafts to keep my hands and mind busy during recovery, every bit helps more than I can express. Art, journaling, and little creative distractions are part of what gets me through long days of pain, fatigue, and medical stress.
