Moon of Hope over Umhlanga.

Moon of Hope over Umhlanga.

Mar 28, 2021

This evening I went down to the beach in Umhlanga Rocks to experience my first Full Moon rising over the ocean.

I got there early and watched as the light diminished as the sun set behind me. The ships on the horizon were lit up like little floating cities in the distance. There was a storm moving in from the south and I was waiting to see the moon pop up behind the clouds, but unfortunately the clouds came in too fast.

For around 10 seconds however, the moon made an appearance and peeped through the clouds and this is the photo I managed to capture before the moon hid itself behind the clouds again. The clouds came in fast, and this was the only view I got of the moon tonight.

It really was spectacular to witness, and for me, it was another symbol of hope. No matter the storm in your life, the light will break through and give you hope.

I think a lot of us need some hope in our lives; I know I do...

I hope that you like this image and that it speaks to you like it does me.

South Africa has so much beauty in every corner, and I do my best to capture some of it.

I am Proudly South African.
