This past Monday, a friend of mine who knows Durban quite well, took me to a few places in Durban to take a few photos. I specifically wanted to take a few photos of the beautiful Durban Skyline at sunset.
What we witnessed was nothing short of spectacular. It was one of the most majestic sunsets I have ever seen and it left us in complete awe.
The ocean was so calm and quiet. A cool salty breeze gently blowing. Soft clouds slowly drifted over the city, and as the colours of the sunset started changing, the waxing crescent moon appeared. It was hanging delicately just about the city.
For a second I felt like I was in a movie and I was looking out over Manhattan in New York. And then the realisation that this is a scene straight out of our beautiful country left me so proud to be South African.
We truly have the most beautiful country, and it has the most exquisite beauty which is right on our doorstep.
I took a few photos, but these are two of the shots I managed to get. I hope that you like them.
This is our country, and it is so beautiful. Look for the beauty, it's there.
