I woke up early this morning and couldn't fall back asleep. I got up and took a peep outside the window and saw the sky looked like it was covered in pink cotton candy.I immediately rushed down to Bronze Beach in Umhlanga Rocks to take a few photos.
When I got to the beach, the clouds were on fire from the rising sun. The reflections of the clouds blazed across the surf. The waves came in and washed away the reflections only for them to reappear as the waves drew back into the ocean. The cool and calm breeze almost contradicted the firy drama of the sky overhead.
The whole spectacle lasted only a few minutes as the colours started cooling down. The sun rose and then pierced through from behind the clouds that looked like venetian blinds. The day had begun.
Most things in life are fleeting. Moments like this morning's sunrise remind me that life needs to be lived. Carpe Diem. Seize the day. Live.

South African sunrises always leave me breathless and in awe. We truly have such a magnificently beautiful country.
