I'm Christine, and at 54, I'm still in the process of becoming. Stories from the Edge is where I reflect on love and loss, undoing and rebuilding, regretting and reflecting. I share my thoughts while doing the difficult work of growing into what's left, doing my best to build and grow as a human in the process.
I've started over more times than I want to count, even through a marriage ending, a family rebuilding and redefining, and through children growing up, questioning and leaving the proverbial nest. These essays share my reflections on it all; what I'm starting to realize, the older I get and the more I question, that there's never a tidy resolution. I'm not trying to teach any lessons, I'm just trying to figure out life and growing older for myself, and in the process, I'm finding that sharing is helping me heal, and I'm hoping others can relate to my ruminations on how it feels to survive the experiences of life that are hard, while persisting anyway.
If any of this resonates with you, buy me a coffee. It would really help me to justify the time I spend, and keep me writing. It buys me some morning (or late night) hours, providing me the space and sustenance to write the narratives I don't share anywhere else.
Thanks for being here, and joining me as I tell my stories from the edge.
