Hi,
My name is Christian Lindke and I am the author of Christian Lindke's Geekerati Newsletter on Substack.
Christian Lindke's Geekerati Newsletter is a re-envisioning of my old Geekerati blog on Blogger and the Geekerati podcast (many episodes are available on Spotify). Over time, it will completely merge those two sites as I create new written, spoken, and video content about a wide range of Geek Culture.
The Newsletter covers covers similar ground to those past projects, but is much more focused on building a community. My (roughly) weekly “Geekly Rundown” not only includes my thoughts on random geeky topics (the weekly “Oddity”), it also includes numerous links to other geek sites I found interesting (“Glimpes from the Substackosphere and Blogoverse”). The Weekly Geekly Rundown is more than a series of links though. I add detailed thoughts regarding why I’m sharing those particular pages in a way that promotes the other sites and creates dialogue. I also regularly feature film reviews from Luke Y Thompson and Courtney Howard with my thoughts about them in my “Film Cavalcade” section. Additionally, my Rundown includes one Role Playing Game recommendation, a number of music recommendations, and a film recommendation. It’s a real Newsletter in the traditional sense.
