This month was a busy one: two in-depth Bible studies and a weekend evangelism seminar in country Victoria.
The training in Hamilton, VIC went really well. Around 30 people came, and over three sessions we worked through common objections to evangelism, how to prepare a heart for grace, and some practical tools for getting a gospel conversation started.
The next day I preached from 2 Corinthians 5:20-21, that we are ambassadors for Christ, pleading with sinners to be reconciled to God.
The two Bible studies were part of a new-believer foundations course we've been running at church. I taught on what the Bible is and how we can know we can trust it, and on hermeneutics; how to read the Bible well. Big topics for one month, but it's been really useful to test some of the content I'm writing for the 52-week Foundations course at https://foundations.bible.
Our street outreaches have been great this month, with lots of deep conversations. Please keep praying that God will open people's hearts, and help them understand the gospel.
Next month our family will be away, visiting relatives and celebrating my Mum's 80th birthday.
