Born and raised in DRC Congo (Africa), I was blessed with parents who instilled in me a passion for traveling the world, exploring cultures, and making friends with everyone I meet, regardless of race, color, or creed. As Mark Twain put it, "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness...".

My favorite mode of transportation when I travel is the humble motorcycle. Starting out as a teenager on a Kawasaki KE100 in the African bush, I've owned about 7 bikes over the years. My current ride is a Honda CB500X "Half-rica Twin". It's simple, efficient, fun, and provides an unlimited amount of freedom to reach amazing destinations off the beaten path. I describe traveling on a motorcycle as "being IN the movie, instead of watching it on the screen". But my favorite part about traveling on a motorcycle is the difference in how people interact with my presence. It makes me much more open, vulnerable, and approachable when I ride into a strange town to ask directions or catch a meal at the local diner. I create videos about my travels, motorcycle adventures, and photography on our YouTube channel.

Speaking of photography, creating beautiful images with cameras has been a huge passion of mine since the bug bit me in 10th grade. Maybe it was knowing that in a few years I'd be leaving Africa, the continent of my birth? From preserving memories of faces and places that were close to my heart, my photography took on a life of its own, eventually becoming my full-time career. Even my best friend, Cami, was a photographer...before she became my wife.
