Nearly the Weekend :)

Hi Folks,
As the title says, nearly the weekend.
Is anyone up to anything arty crafty?

I have a couple of things I want to finish off.
I've been working on and off this week on a red, white and blue rag wreath with the Coronation in mind. I was quite pleased with the way a pom pom hanging garland turned out and just thought I'm make a couple of other things as well.
This one is about six foot wide and a more muted red, white and blue.
I've also made some more vibrant red, white and blue pom poms as well and all are listed on eBay.

Pom poms are always good fun to make, there's something strangely irristable about them!
I can remember as a Girl Guide over fifty years ago making them with odd bits of wool and two cardboard circles.
Did anyone else do that?
I can't decide the best way now, although for these I did use the plastic formers, just for uniformity of size really.
I've tried my fingers, toilet rolls and the old fashioned circular cardboard as well as the formers over recent weeks. I suppose it all depends really how you want to use the finished pom poms and how you want the finished item to look.
