Fidelis Uwem Joseph — Founder · Software Engineer · Builder

I'm a software engineer and founder based in Uyo, Nigeria, building software that actually ships. I run Sofrosyn Labs, a small software and digital services studio operating across Nigeria, the UK, the US, and Oman.

Most days I'm deep in production system. FastAPI backends, Android apps, Docker infrastructure, automation pipelines, and AI/ML integrations. I write clean, modular, maintainable code and I obsess over the boring stuff that makes systems reliable: error handling, data integrity, deployment, observability.

When I'm not client-facing, I'm building my own products including a LEGO marketplace platform with ML-powered part detection, and a credential issuance system built on the Open Badges 3.0 standard. I also mentor junior engineers and write about what I learn along the way.

If my open-source work, tutorials, or content has helped you. A coffee goes a long way. It supports the late-night debugging sessions, the self-hosted infrastructure, and the ongoing mission to build things worth building from Uyo.

Thanks for being here. ☕
