Charlie's Refuge saves street dogs and feeds shelter dogs in Prahova county, Romania. We host as many as 22 and 8 cats at a time, and have found loving homes for over 30 dogs to date.

Charlie's Refuge is named after Charlie, our Christmas miracle mutt. We found Charlie, a half-starved, half-frozen pup, on the street on Christmas day. Since then we've been building a refuge to save as many of these sweet souls from the street as we can. Your contributions subsidize the high quality food we purchase for the dogs, their medical care and shelter costs, and the chicken we buy to feed the 500 or so dogs at the shelter on a bi-weekly basis.
