The most potent medicine that was given to me in hospital after a life changing accident was the gesture of a cup of chai. The compassionate nurse that brought me the chai had no idea of the ripple effect this kind act has had. Every day I sit down to a chai, I honour her and the gift of a second chance of life with gratitude. It’s a reminder of how simple gestures can make a huge difference in people’s life and I enjoy doing the same whenever I can. So many people ask me how they can I contribute to what you do, and I often say to them pay it forward and do the same whenever you can.
