Thirty $5 coffee cards delivered to the Royal Alexandra Hospital ICU

Hey, remember me? It's been a couple weeks. I had a cold - first time in two years. Being symptomatic I couldn't finish up these last couple deliveries (so close!).

This ICU was my very first delivery on... September 30th. These last couple of deliveries are to the teams that have sacrificed the most during the fourth wave both mentally and physically. This incredibly resilient team certainly didn't show it tonight.

I definitely got my step count tonight getting up to the unit - the hospital seemed to have moved which doors have an after-hours screener at them so walking aaall the way around the hospital I got to the right door. The screener was lovely, reminded me I could take the elevator right there.

At the ICU I buzzed in and introduced myself and the unit clerk on the other end sounded absolutely delighted. Being invited in to the desk there were a good handful of staff around the desk doing various tasks.

My safety goggles were foggy so I couldn't exactly tell but the moment I said the word coffee I'm pretty sure I had an audience. I told the clerk to say hello to a particular nurse and a particular doc and I was on my way.

This is the second last delivery for the fund. Tomorrow night I'm visiting the U of A ICU on 3C3/3C4 on special request from a donor. That story comes tomorrow.

So that's 1130 cards delivered to 34 departments.
