JellyRock - an open source Jellyfin client for Roku
Hey, I'm Charles 👋
I'm the person behind JellyRock, a free Jellyfin app for Roku, and its companion plugin for Jellyfin servers. I worked on the original Jellyfin Roku app from 2019 to 2025, and JellyRock is where I've kept that work going.
I build it on my own, in my spare time, with a big focus on performance. I follow Roku's best practices, test on real devices and keep refactoring, so it stays fast and smooth, even on older Rokus.
When someone donates to JellyRock, it makes my day. I appreciate every single one of you.
The money goes back into the project: the Roku devices I test on, the domain and email, and the AI coding tools that help me get more done in the time I have.
Not able to give? Totally fine. There are lots of other ways to help:
- 📣 Tell a friend who has a Roku
- ⭐ Star JellyRock on GitHub
- 🐛 Report a bug or suggest a feature
- 🌍 Translate JellyRock into your language
- 💬 Answer questions in Discussions
- 📝 Improve the docs: every page has an "Edit page" link
Either way, thanks for using JellyRock! I hope it's a pleasure to use.
