“Running Away Won’t Solve My Problems” — But I Still Packed My Bags

Oct 11, 2025

When I first started traveling, I thought getting on a plane would make my panic and anxiety disappear.
New country, new version of me, right?
But it didn’t work like that.

My anxiety didn’t stay at home. It followed me through airports, sat next to me on the plane, and unpacked its bags right beside mine. There were moments I wanted to run again to another country, another city, another distraction but eventually, I realized something:
I wasn’t supposed to run away from my fears.
I was supposed to walk with them.

Now, every time I share a story or video about traveling with panic disorder, it’s not to show that I’ve “escaped.” It’s to show that healing doesn’t mean you stop being afraid it means you stop letting fear decide your route.

If my journey reminds you that you’re not broken for feeling anxious, that you can still chase your dreams with your fear then that’s worth every scary flight, every shaky step, and every deep breath.

If you’d like to support this journey and help me keep creating honest stories about anxiety, travel, and courage you can buy me a coffee ☕️.
Every little bit helps me stay on the road and keep sharing what I wish I’d heard when I was scared to even leave my house.
