About Paul
I'm Paul. I build small, self-hosted things for people who would rather measure than guess.
WeatherNode turns your own weather station into a forecast that is actually about your garden, not the nearest airport's.
Aircraft Noise is for the other thing over my house: the planes. A microphone sensor and a Raspberry Pi record every pass, match it to the aircraft overhead, and show what your street really gets. Free, open source, no account, no company behind it.
Both are evening projects. Nobody pays me for them, and I like it that way, but domains, a test Pi, sensor parts and the little server that collects the stations' numbers into one worldwide map do cost money.
If one of them made your forecast sharper or told you something about your street you didn't know, a beer is a nice way to say so. One-off or monthly, whatever you like. Thank you.
