Growing up in a rural home in the early '90s, we had one of those big satellite dishes in the yard, a C-band system that could pull signals from dozens of satellites across the sky. As a young teen, I spent hours turning the dish and surfing through transponders, never knowing what I'd find next, a raw CNN feed, a telenovela, a bulk Simpsons transfer feed...a scrambled adult channel that was 'close enough'. This site tries to capture that feeling of exploring the air and discovering what was out there.
