This website [https://feed-the.cat] started as a pet (no pun intended) project in the summer of 2025, as a way for me to see my cat Bishop when he was eating and I was away from home, in "Hello Street Cat" fashion. Seeing the support and love it was getting from the regular visitors, I decided I wanted to make the project grow and hopefully have some positive impact. Now I am trying to collaborate with local cat shelters (shout out to Gatuari, the first ones to put trust in the project) to try to give them more visibility through this page. This costs money, as each new location requires a smart feeder, camera, light, etc. Also, the recurring costs of running the site are starting to pile up, from the server, database, cloud video storage, website hosting...

All of this to say that the project needs funding if I want to keep it alive.

I refuse to put ads on the page (would rather shut it down tbh) or to lock any of the main features behind a paywall, so for now I am choosing to rely on the support of the community.
