Due to the limited availability of living human brain tissue, the development in elucidating the molecular and cellular pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders has been hindered impeded. However, the discovery of iPSCs has offered the opportunity to study the physiology of living human neurons derived from individual patients.
