The Redstone Dossier’s first case study examined whether the Loft and its surrounding landscape help direct players toward RDR2’s Giant encounter.
Since publishing it, I have returned to the beginning of Chapter 2 and started testing the broader region under cleaner conditions. The objective is not to manufacture discoveries. It is to determine which observations survive documentation, reconstruction and repeated testing.
One continuous field session produced several credible leads:
• The Giant did not activate before visiting Wapiti with only three studied animals, establishing a useful early-game baseline.
• An eagle encountered near Wapiti was followed to a rare three-star moose near Mysterious Hill Home.
• A second three-star moose appeared minutes later near the Giant’s reported bird-flock location, directly beside where the eagle was at Wapiti. Its escape route carried me upriver to the Ancient Tomahawk.
• Before that second encounter, details on a nearby camper’s map appeared to indicate the same tomahawk location.
• Ammolite and fluorite were collected before any Thomas Downes interaction as part of a longer experiment concerning Arthur’s illness. Their presence did not alter the nearby sweat lodge or unlock crafting at either fire — an important negative result.
None of these observations is being presented as a solved mystery. The footage, coordinates and major save checkpoints have been preserved. The next phase is to reconstruct the animal routes, compare the camper’s map with the game world and determine what can be reproduced.
This is the progress investors should expect from Cash Redstone: original fieldwork converted into documented evidence, testable questions, video material, short-form reporting and future dossier cases.
The project is making real headway: not by promising answers, but by building an investigation capable of earning them.
