New Year new you? Maybe?

New Year new you? Maybe?

Happy New Year and welcome to 2025. Cassie here! My new year's resolution was to write and design more. To embrace my girly romantic qualities and not worry about matters I couldn't change. Thus, I was inspired to re-open my online journal. Would I call this a rebranding of sorts? No more "Casahana's Tea Room' or the 'Hana mates' fan name? All of the above to be honest. I wanted to scale back to the basics and just let my creative process speak for itself. With not only the transparent seals and washi but in the use of fountain pens instead of gel pens exclusively.

The Hobonichi layouts above being a chief example of that. In December I even redesigned my room to embrace that romantic girly cozy vibe and started using the Hobonichi Weeks alongside the Hobonichi Cousin. Mostly to keep track of the streams I watch during the day throughout the week and my thoughts/feelings about the content. I have found the system and the layout of my room in general fits me best. It's also super pretty with the candlelight and soft lamps.

The vibes really help me be more creative and feel warm inside. Like the plushies do when I hug or hold them? Or when I watch my favorite streamer/content creator? All of the above. I find that when my feelings are in check and I am as content as I am I can better express myself and take care of my well being. Via walking in nature while listening to music or The Best in Jest, in chat/SM and writing like this in the blog or my Hobonichi set.

As for my creative stories with my original cast of characters? I am considering what is best for the Sakurai family and what would make them happiest. Sakura especially. I may or may not bring them back full time with brand new adventures. Just know that I DO think about them and roleplaying in general. As my favorite person in the world would say "Roleplaying will never die." and a person's love for it will never fully disappear. That in of itself was a healing thought for me after my group retired and disbanded.

It was something I really needed to hear from a from a fellow role player and a heart ache ONLY a fellow role player would understand how to fix properly. I am grateful they came into my life when they did and I am happy every day they are here. That being said I will be starting slow with this blog and the creative writing process. Nothing grand like podcasting or streaming or something like that. Just me expressing myself in all the ways I can and embracing the me that I am content to be.

Thanks for reading.
