We Hired a Real Artist (Not AI): Behind the Shirt

Hey. If you're reading this, you're one of the people who has put a few bucks toward the woodshop, and I genuinely appreciate that more than I say.I just put out a new video. Different from what I usually do. I sat down with Samantha Allen, the artist who designed our new Carver Woodworking t-shirt. She goes by ARTbySAMM. I reached out to her because I'd been watching her work for a while and it just felt right for what this brand is trying to be.The conversation went places I didn't expect. We got into the design itself (there is a guitar-playing llama, a skull candle, and more wood grain than you can shake a stick at), but we also talked about what drives her as a creative person, her very strong feelings about AI, and something she said about being a "conduit for ideas" that I keep thinking about.23 minutes.
