really exciting news over here — my wee motion picture “consumido” has been nominated for “Best Portuguese Horror Short Film” at the 20th MOTELX International Horror Film Festival that runs 3-13 september 2026!
it’s one of just ten nominees chosen from hundreds of submissions and will be screened twice: once alongside four other nominees, and once before a feature on the big screen at lisboa’s iconic Cinema São Jorge.
the winner will receive €5k, the largest cash prize in any category for any film festival in portugal, which i must say would be a pretty sick birthday present. 🤞
