Hi. My name is Marc Berman. I am a classically-trained singer. As a labor of love, I record rare Yiddish Songs to help preserve them for future generations. I post my recordings to my YouTube channel "Cantor Classics": (https://www.youtube.com/c/CantorClassics).

The Nazis but failed to exterminate the Jewish people. But, in murdering six million Yiddish speakers, they nearly destroyed Yiddish music. Only perhaps 20 or so Yiddish songs remain widely known. Many thousands of others have all but disappeared. Please don't let Nazi evil triumph. Please help me.

So far my videos have received over 260,000 views, and my channel has over 1700 subscribers.

But recording rare Jewish music is expensive. For example, there are the costs of audio equipment, obtaining sheet music, fees for sound engineering and musical arrangement, and many other costs . Despite the 250,000+ YouTube views, and the over 1700 subscribers, I receive no revenue from YouTube.

In short, recording music of this type is a "niche" endeavor. Unlike with "pop" music, classic Yiddish music is not something that one can record for a profit. Rather, it's necessary to have supporters who believe in and support preserving this music assist the artist.
