À propos CAMINOHOLIC
WALK - EAT - LAUGH - COMPLAIN - SLEEP - REPEAT
Hello, my name is Tina, and I’m a Caminoholic. Welcome to my chronic, incurable, and wonderfully contagious obsession: walking. The Camino is a pilgrimage phenomenon where people voluntarily wake up at inhumane hours, slip on sweaty socks, eat a sandwich that Gordon Ramsay would yeet into the bin with fury, and head off down the trail. This blog is a collection of stories, sweat, absurd thoughts during sunrise, and adventures with the big names I take along in my head – from the Almighty (for grace and patience) to the Berliner (for discipline, order, and peace). If you’re interested in a Camino without sugar-coating, packed with sarcasm, raw emotions, and the occasional photo of a sandwich without a soul – then you’re in the right place. A gathered collection from the Camino trails – those epic, muddy, dusty, sun-scorched, and often cursed long walks that together form one deep love affair between me, the path, silence, challenges, and my feet. I walk because I love silence and nature. Because I enjoy the wild contrast between “how beautiful” and “fuck you.” Because people on the trail keep surprising me. Because challenges are great conversation partners when your headphones die. Because a beer after walking 40 km feels more sacred than any mass in a cathedral. On the road, I meet all kinds of people – from the brave to the lost, and those who truly believe they’re “on a quest for the meaning of life.” Me? I’m mostly looking for shade and a cold beer. This is my Camino world: raw, laughing, exhausted, and slightly tipsy from the simplicity of life (and also a bit from that 11 a.m. bar beer – judge me if you dare). If you're a fellow Caminoholic – or just enjoy reading about how people willingly destroy themselves in pursuit of inner peace – then this is your place. If you’re curious about what days look like when you count kilometres instead of calories, and if I make you laugh once in a while, buy me a virtual beer. I won’t forget you. You won’t save me from the heat, but you’ll make my day a little better. Because every stage walked deserves a cold reward, doesn’t it?
