Über Albert, Founder of Call the Map
Hi there! I'm Albert and i built Call the Map.
It forecasts the 2026 midterms: the Senate, the House, the governors, the state legislative chambers that are up, and the attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer races that almost nobody else bothers to model. It does not do ballot measures, judges, mayors, or your county sheriff. If your local water district is heading for a nail-biter, I salute your civic spirit and I cannot help you.
What it does do is show its work. Every forecast opens up into the things that produced it: which polls went in, which ones got thrown out, and the rule that threw them out. You never have to just trust me, which is convenient, because you shouldn't have to.
It's free to read. No ads, no login, no tracking, and nobody paying me to call a race closer than it is. That independence is the whole product. It's also why the bills land on me — compute, data, servers, and a domain that renews whether or not a single person shows up. There's more than a year of evenings behind this, and more of my own money in it than I've been brave enough to add up.
So if the site is useful to you and you feel like helping out, it would honestly mean a lot. Any amount, whenever you like. Nothing is locked behind it, and nobody gets a worse forecast for not paying. Whatever comes in goes to compute, data and hosting — the three most boring things standing between you and a working forecast — and it makes the next stretch of this feel a good deal less like a gamble.
