I have Filed for office! Here are my three goals for Tacoma district 5 if elected this fall!
Repair the damaged and broken infrastructure here in the south end IE; repaving/ beautifying Hosmer and Pacific Avenue with expanding our tree canopy and to reflect our neighbor city to the southwest. During this I plan on tearing up all of Hosmer and replacing the asphalt with Cement. While cement will cost more initially the savings will add up with maintenance costs, as Cement doesn’t develop ruts or pot holes, and requires less maintenance than asphalt which needs patching, chip seal, and eventually once the chip seal takes place the next step is full tear down. My great grandfather John P Vollmer designed the infrastructure east of the cascades and eventually the town of Vollmer Idaho, when the Vollmer family settled in the then Washington Territory.
Removing the homeless off of Hosmer;
- implementing a daytime camping ordinance
- Allowing TPD to crackdown on open air drug use on all of Hosmer, 72nd & Pac Ave, 72nd and Portland Avenue.
LOWERING TAXES;
-during my term I also plan on finding ways to reduce government spending and pass the buck onto you the voters, as well as give you the voters a chance to breathe! I hear you guys, you are tired of being taxed to the moon. What tax rate is currently in place will stay in place unless I can find a way to cut them.
