Hey Everyone,
I was running solo this weekend and massively overloaded. I'm not going to email this one out, but I'm going to leave the charts here for a summary! For Saudi, we'll be back full steam.
Overview
Red Bull, Ferrari, Alonso, Mercedes
Ferrari seemed surprised to be that close
Aston Hype train (or Alonso hype train) is still moving ahead - come back to this
A bit disappointed by Alfa Romeo’s qualifying pace
And somewhat surprised by Alpine
VER and PER data certainly incorrect - Q3 R2 was a new soft tyre.
LEC saves a set of SFT tyres for the race - only one in top 10 with new SFT
Performance
Pole Bahrain
2022 1:30.558 from LEC (VER 1:30.68)
2023 : 1:29.708 from VER (LEC 1:30.00) - nearly 9 tenths faster
Quali Spread Bahrain
2022: 2.5% with Aston slowest team
2023: 1.9% with Williams slowest team
10kph top to bottom with DRS on
Red Bull and Ferrari top of the speed trap with best single lap pace
Mercedes and Aston about 5kph lower - should still be able to DRS past slower car
Alpha Tauri completely opposite end to RB -they had to put on too much downforce and still were massively uncompetitive
Alpine not able to rocket-ship like they did last year, bit in the upper middle
