About Broke Horse Moms
I’m Angie Trueblood, founder of Broke Horse Moms - the podcast, community, and resource hub that helps non-horsey horse moms navigate the confusing, expensive, and all-consuming world of equestrian life.
What started as a way to bridge the gap between “clueless-but-curious” new horse moms and the well-seasoned equestrian world has grown into a space where we can laugh, learn, and commiserate about what it really takes to support our kids’ passion for horses, from their first lessons to (eek) young adulthood.
Right now, we’re also in a new chapter - my daughter Chloe is working toward qualifying for Pony Jumper Finals this year, which means rated shows, travel, and all the behind-the-scenes that come with chasing a goal like this. I’ll be sharing that journey in real time through Broke Horse Moms so other families can see what it actually takes.
Producing the podcast, newsletter, and all the content around both everyday horse mom life and this next level of the sport takes time, money, and a whole lot of mental load (IYKYK). Instead of leaning on endless affiliate links or “free” product deals that don’t really serve this community, I’d rather keep things honest, useful, and real.
If you’ve found something we’ve created to be helpful, funny, or just plain relatable, you can “buy me a coffee” (or, let’s be honest, a bag of shavings) to support both the content we create and Chloe’s journey toward Pony Finals.
Every bit helps and truly means a lot.
Thanks for being a part of our virtual barn family. 🐎 ❤️
