I have just written my 33rd book! I came into the book industry back in 2013 and have had a LOT of publishers. Right now I am an Indie Author. I self-publish my books and have made more on my own than with any publishing company! I've probably been signed over 10 times!
I learned that each company had their "favorite" authors. They would give them the world. But me? I would have their support in the beginning. Only to be left hanging in the end. It was frustrating to be waiting for one of my books to be released after waiting for months! I was never taught how to promote my books. Just told to go out there and share the heck out of it.
So here I am. Doing it all on my own. Just trust your own instincts. You learn as you go. And I am having fun while sharing my books with you guys!
