I spent a lot of my time today working on a song. It isn’t finished yet. To be honest, I don’t know when it will be. Hopefully, I'll have it done someday soon. But there is something valuable in the unfinished work. When you are trying to write music, you are trying to pull a melody out of thin air and give it structure. You have to listen to the silence between the notes to make sure they fit. If you rush it, it’s just noise. If you force it, it lacks soul. You have to be patient enough to let the truth of the sound reveal itself.
We are living in a time of forced noise. The headlines today are screaming with dissonance. We have leaders trying to force a narrative that doesn't fit the facts. They are trying to harmonize "national security" with a raid on a local warehouse. They are trying to make us believe that a massive fraud in Texas is quiet while a smaller one in Minnesota is a symphony of war. They are playing all the wrong notes and expecting us to applaud. But we are here to listen for the signal. We are here to tune out the distortion and hear what is actually being said. Let’s walk through the composition of today’s news.

This is a calculated smear campaign designed to retroactively justify his execution. They want you to focus on his anger so you ignore the fact that he was shot in the back while holding a phone. My song is still just a few chords and some scribbled lines. But I’ll keep working on it because the world needs more music and less shouting. I made this bass guitar 10 years ago, but rarely get the chance to play it. Do not let the chaos outside stop you from finding your own rhythm. Create something. Feed your people. Keep your eyes open.
We are going to need that clarity for what comes next. The distraction machine is running at full capacity trying to get you to look at the taillight instead of the shooting or the whistle instead of the raid. They want you exhausted. They want you to think the song isn't worth finishing. But every time you refuse to accept their version of reality you are adding a verse to the truth. Keep writing it. I will be back tomorrow.
