First, a quick personal note. I really enjoyed the Christmas movie themes during the past two weeks. It was a fun creative challenge to blend the hard news with some storytelling. The feedback, however, was a mixed bag. Some of you loved the creative writing, while others just wanted the raw facts without the wrapper.
I am trying to strike a compromise that respects your time but keeps things engaging. My current plan is to keep Monday through Thursday strictly business with standard, fact-based reports like this one. Then, on Fridays, we can have a little more fun with a creative "Feature" or story tie-in to head into the weekend.

The North Remembers: While Trump hosted Zelenskyy at Mar-a-Lago to push for "loans," Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney embarrassed the White House by offering Ukraine $2.5 billion in unconditional economic aid.
The "Peace" Lie: The administration bombed targets in Nigeria on Christmas, framing it as "protecting Christians." Experts warn this crude narrative has ignited a powder keg of ethnic and religious violence in the region rather than stopping terrorism.
The Not-So-Silent Night: While America slept, Poland was forced to scramble F-16s on Christmas morning to intercept Russian aircraft and balloons testing NATO's eastern flank.

We are living through a moment where the lines between truth and propaganda are being blurred daily. The administration says they want peace while enabling war. They say they want affordable energy while raising your bills to save coal. They say they want secure borders while deporting legal residents for doing math. It is a dizzying assault on reality designed to make us give up and tune out.
We cannot wait for permission to resist. We have to be willing to do the small, hard things. We must speak out when it is uncomfortable. We must share information when the platforms try to hide it. We must hold our ground until we are forced to comply.
Resistance is not just a grand gesture. It is the daily decision to refuse to be lied to. Whether it is a redacted document that reveals the truth, a coal plant that reveals the grift, or a fundraising email that reveals the greed, the facts are there if we are brave enough to look at them.
