Galo (Anacolosa frutescens)

Jun 07, 2021

Galo (Anacolosa frutescens) is one of the wild fruit native to Southeast Asia. The fruit and seeds of galo (also known as aluloy) is eaten in the Philippines. The fruit is usually boiled before consumption and has a taste similar to avocado. The seeds have a flavor descibed as being similar to a mixture of sweet corn and chestnuts. Hopefully the seeds will germinate so it will be added soon in the collection.
