Ever wondered what goes into crafting a novel? Each week on the Bookcast, I offer a front-row seat to the writing process. This week, I navigate the final stages of my project, Elysium. The joys and challenges of creating a romantic escape for my characters are all laid bare in this candid discussion. Also, if you've been nodding along or cracking up at my bookish banter, share the love at buymeacoffee.com/booksbydlwhite.
Plus, there's a delightful surprise for new fans of my books- if you haven't read Leslie's Curl and Dye, it's currently on sale where eBooks are sold.
I talk about the following books/references during the episode:
Mules and Men by Hurston, Zora Neale
Sisterhood Heals: The Transformative Power of Healing in Community by Bradford, Joy Harden
Murder is a Piece of Cake (Baker Street Mystery #2) by Burns, Valerie
The Edge of Dawn by Jenkins, Beverly
In July, we read Ms Bev! The Jenkins July group is reading TOPAZ, ALWAYS & FOREVER, CHANCE AT LOVE, TAMING OF JESSI ROSE. I have already read them this year. Up next for me is BLACK LACE and SOMETHING LIKE LOVE
