Hello and welcome back to Matcha Mania!
As summer came around, I kept an eye on all of my favorite cafes and coffee shops to see what their summer drink menu would consist of. Some of them are just coffee drinks, which is a little disappointing, but it is what it is. Then, I saw Cream & Sugar in Randolph post theirs and the second I saw the Blueberry Honey Matcha, I knew I was going to be giving it a shot.
About two weeks ago, I finally got to try it, and it was amazing! I did a "live" tasting, which I posted on my YouTube channel, and yes, the first thing I did taste was the blueberry, since that was sitting at the bottom; however, after a little bit (and after mixing the blueberry, the matcha, and the honey cold foam together), this wonderful combination of sweet and earthy came through. It was truly delicious!
And what I loved about it was how that acquired taste of the matcha -- that I continue to describe as "spinach water" -- was so subtle, especially under the sweet blueberry flavor. Again, this incredible concoction of earthy and sweet (two tastes you may not think would work in unison) just coming together and making this delicious, refreshing drink. I would love to have this over and over again. :-)
In the end, I definitely recommend giving the Blueberry Honey Matcha drink from Cream & Sugar a try. I know matcha may not be everybody's cup of tea (pun intended), but when it is mixed with great flavors, like blueberry and honey, I can guarantee you will enjoy it. I did. :-)
