Say Yes and No!!
This is Taiwan's first issue theater performance project with the theme of "Body Autonomy and Emotional Education".
In view of the outbreak of the Me Too issue in Taiwan in 2023, it has revealed the long-term lack of emotional education in Taiwanese society. In addition, the age group is declining year by year: issues such as adolescent emotional suicide, underage pregnancy, filming of private sexual images, and the spread of digital sexual violence images... ⋯ Therefore, PHi Performance Studio, which has long been concerned about justice and gender issues, decided in 2023 to use the drama major, combined with psychologists specializing in youth sexual counseling and lawyers specializing in family law to form a team to promote the "body autonomy issue-based interactive theater project."
We plan to develop a total of six episodes of scripts with different themes on the themes of stalking, underage pregnancy, filming of intimate sexual images, sexual harassment, digital sexual image distribution, date rape and positive consent. Each episode will correspond to a gender law. In addition to a professional performance team, the performance will also be accompanied by a dialogue between psychologists and lawyers, and relevant social safety net resource card information will be provided after the performance, hoping to effectively help the public start relevant discussions and enhance knowledge about legal and psychological assistance.
In addition to performances in this series of projects, we will also launch a series of related research, lectures and workshop projects, hoping to promote and improve the relevant emotional education environment in Taiwan.
The promotion of emotional education will help more people better understand their own emotional motivations and find ways and strengths that suit their own emotional expression. It will help people express their love, anger, and sadness; it can also help them to accept frustration and crying. We believe that each emotion should be accepted and expressed appropriately.
PHi Actors Lab sincerely invites you to "invest" in emotional education together!
If you are willing, you are also welcome to leave your email to us after sponsoring. We will regularly report to you the progress of your donation to the Body Autonomy Theater Project.
