A Russian Iskander missile struck a children's playground in Kryvyi Rih.
In the seconds before impact, Matvii's mother did what only a mother could do—she threw herself over her son to protect him.
She saved his life.

Matvii survived, but lost an arm.
Today, after months of treatment and rehabilitation, he has a prosthetic arm. He goes to school. He plays with friends. He dreams about the future.
