The ROI of a Single Smile

The ROI of a Single Smile

Seems like the tech space has conditioned us to measure success purely in MRR, churn rates, and monthly active users. But you are here because you understand that sometimes the most important digital experiences are built for an audience of exactly one.

I built LoveQuest in a couple of hours on a Sunday to clear some domestic static. A simple UI, a runaway "No" button, and zero backend bloat. It was a raw experiment in digital empathy—designed to manufacture a laugh when a flat text message wouldn't cut it.

Building things simply because they are fun to build is a muscle most of the industry has let atrophy. We trade the joy of creation for the anxiety of scale. I prefer to keep my indie-hacker roots watered.

Every coffee dropped in this jar funds more of these weird, hyper-specific micro-apps. It pays for the Vercel hosting, the late-night Espressos, and the time spent designing interactions that remind us there are actual humans on both sides of the screen.

If LoveQuest successfully got you out of the doghouse, or if you just fundamentally believe the web needs more handmade texture, your support keeps the lights on.

Pour one out for the side projects that never need to scale.
