For fans of the TV show I'm A Celebrity you will remember when due to COVID the show took place in the UK for a little while.
The show was shot in a North Wales castle, but did you know that you can visit the castle that is in Abergele!
Luckily for me I live down the road from Gwrych Castle and have loved visiting the venue since the early 1980s, sadly the castle fell into disrepair in the late 80s early 90s, but work has been going on for a while to restore the amazing venue.
I popped up to the castle the other day and grabbed myself an annual pass to spend much more time there this year and help support the work that is going on.
As I mentioned earlier I've always loved visiting Gwrych Castle and remember those wonderful days of jousting and knights. Now as I'm a lot (lot) older it's a wonderful place to just go to for a relaxing time to watch the world drift by.
The castle has some great events on including a lovely Artisan Market and spooky ghost hunts.
All the volunteers at the castle are fantastic and lovely to chat to, I also love it when I get the chance to catch up with Mark and Bev Baker.
