Dear friends,

ΒlackBox studio is an independed collective of musicians, sound engineers, dancers and artists originating from Athens, Greece since 2017.

Our main vision is to maintain an open and public space dedicated to arts, based on the DIY logic and aesthetic.

In these past years Blackbox has hosted bands and solo artists from more than 15 counties contributing greatly in the DIY art scene of Athens. Gigs, screenings, seminars, lessons and exhibitions were welcomed and artists were given a small space for their expression.

On June 2021, the building that Blackbox was located, was sold and so on we went to found our new home.

After a period of searching for the best possible option, we managed to find a great place, but there is a lot of work to be done in order to bring it to the standards we think it deserves. After almost three years of endless restorations, we are getting close enough, but not exactly there.

The new BlackBox studio stands proudly in an independent building with 4 floors dedicated to each segment of our collective:

Recording / Live Music / Dance / Art.

This effort is for everyone that would like to contribute in order for BlackBox collective to continue to exist and support artists !
