PiHerder - open-source fleet management for Raspberry Pi's, Linux & Ho
Hi, I'm Björn,
Engineer, senior cybersecurity leader, homelab tinkerer, hacker, and 3D designer with over 30 years of building and securing systems.
I created PiHerder to solve my own frustrations with managing Raspberry Pi clusters using brittle shell scripts. It’s now an open-source web app for secure fleet management: backups, OS/container patching, Docker Compose tools, service templates, interactive Network Maps, and more. All with encrypted secrets at rest and full audit trails.
No pressure at all to sponsor. Using the project, giving feedback, opening issues, or contributing code is already incredibly valuable. But if PiHerder saves you time or brings you joy, a sponsorship would be greatly appreciated and directly helps fund continued development, infrastructure, and new features.
Find me on X: @BjornCPT — I post announcements, updates, and homelab content there.
My personal site and blog are coming soon at hacknow.info.
Thank you for supporting open-source homelab tools!
