TEdit — Terraria 1.4.5 Support Update

TEdit — Terraria 1.4.5 Support Update

Jan 31, 2026

Terraria 1.4.5 dropped and we've been heads-down getting TEdit updated to support it. This was a big one — 27 commits, 121 files changed, and nearly 90,000 lines of code touched across the project.

Here's what went into this update:

World File Support — TEdit can now load and save 1.4.5 world files. This required reworking the file handling to account for all the new data structures Terraria 1.4.5 introduced.

All-New Game Data — Every config file got an overhaul: new tiles, walls, items, prefixes, NPCs, bestiary entries, tile frames, and tile properties have all been added and mapped. The map color table and player map renderer were rebuilt to match the new content.

ReactiveUI Migration — Under the hood, the entire UI framework was migrated to ReactiveUI. This is a major architectural change that sets TEdit up for better maintainability going forward.

Bug Fixes & Polish — Fixed copy/paste issues with Display Dolls, updated the sign cap to 32k, added weapon and mount support to the special tile UI, and squashed a bunch of sprite issues.

CI/Build Improvements — Build artifacts and version detection were added to the CI pipeline, making releases smoother.

Huge thanks to RussDev7 for the contributions on map colors, tile data, frame data, and version handling — this was a team effort.

This is an open-source project and always will be. If you want to support the work, it goes a long way.

Thanks for the support — more updates coming soon.
