About Bike Breath
We’re Brendan and Emma, a pair of creatives & Youtubers otherwise known as Bike Breath. We’re obsessed with all things alternative cycling- bike aesthetics, pastries, coffee, culture and the quest to find gear that feels like us and improves the experience of riding.
Brendan grew up skateboarding and doing a bit of mountain biking, and is a professional musician who has toured and continues to do studio drum & guitar work. Emma is a visual artist who studied painting, printmaking and more. She took up cycling in 2014 when our 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan died (RIP baby girl) and in the last decade we’ve gone deep into the universe of ATB/Gravel/Steel Bikes.
Cycling content + media often comes across as performative and focused on the cutting edge tech side of things, but we find ourselves drawn to the aesthetics and simplicity of life on two wheels. Since we can’t shut up about bike stuff and are creatives who love to make things- Bike Breath was born. We’ve always admired how skateboarding culture is as much about the physical and creative act of skating as it is about the fashion, community and culture and see so many parallels in our experience as cyclists. We want to participate in growing this niche of the cycling universe through our youtube videos, content, and possible future products. We’re here to celebrate the non-competitive side of cycling that has improved both of our lives and mental health ❤️ Thank you for coming on the ride with us!
